At Calvary Baptist Bible College, we are dedicated to equipping men and women with a strong Biblical foundation and the practical skills needed for effective ministry and leadership. Our mission is to prepare students to serve Christ faithfully, whether in the church, community, or across the globe.

Our college provides a Christ-centered academic environment that emphasizes spiritual growth, theological understanding, and personal development. Through a balance of classroom instruction, hands-on ministry experience, and mentorship, students gain the tools they need to live out their calling with confidence and conviction.

We offer a variety of degree and certificate programs in Biblical Studies, Christian Education, and Ministry Training, all designed to deepen faith and expand understanding of God’s Word. Classes are led by experienced professors who are passionate about both teaching and serving the Lord.

At Calvary Baptist Bible College, we believe education is more than information — it’s transformation. Our goal is to inspire and prepare the next generation of Christian leaders to impact lives and advance the Kingdom of God throughout Puerto Rico and beyond.

OUR MISSION:

The mission of Calvary Baptist Bible College, through the ministry of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, is to provide an educational environment for the development of servant-leaders who will lead Christ-centered lives as they seek to carry out the Great Commission of planting New Testament local assemblies by evangelizing, immersing, and instructing converts using the preserved Word of God. We believe this mission must permeate all phases of our ministry. The following objectives outline this mission:

To direct students through example to practice local NT Baptist Church Christianity.
To direct students to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to direct them to love Him with all their hearts, souls, and minds.
To direct students to develop a heart for God and a conformity to Christ’s character in academics, attitudes, and actions.
To direct students to add to their faith virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity.

DISTINTIVES:

The academic program of Calvary Baptist Bible College is centered on the Lord Jesus Christ. God’s word is interpreted in light of the literal-historical-grammatical method with application to the life and work of individual students as they prepare for the Lord’s work.

We recognize the need for a Baptist Bible college, which is part of a local church ministry, to rekindle the fervor and zeal for the ministry, particularly in the pastorate, and on the foreign mission field. Each student majors in Bible and each major is saturated with Bible and doctrine, which are vital in preparation and training of students for life and ministry.

We hold to a visible, local church which is the body of Christ and has real existence as an organization and executes action as a corporate being.

STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We believe:

The infallible, verbal inspiration of the Bible (II Tim. 3:16-17). We also hold to the fact that God has providentially preserved his word in the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Textus Receptus. We would consider any resultant translation from these texts, in any language, to be God’s preserved word in that language. For English speaking people, the Authorized Version (KJV) is God’s preserved word, while the Reina Valera (1909, 1960) is God’s preserved word for the Spanish speaking people.

FACULTAD:

Mr. Joshua Buretto, Instructor, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Ministries and Pastoral Studies/Bible in 2016. Since then he has served at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in various ministries including Calvary Baptist Bible College.

Dr. James E. Daniels, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion in 1988 from Messianic School of Theology in Powder Springs, Ga. He was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by Northland Bible College, Dunbar, WI in 1998. He has been preaching since 1971, and has served as a pastor/missionary in the West Indies since 1974.

Miss Shirley Dubber, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada in 1974, and Master of Arts in Education of the Hearing impaired from Gallaudet University, Washington D.C. in 1976. She has served as a teacher/missionary to the deaf in Puerto Rico since 1978.

Mrs. Katie Mendola, Professor, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership. She later acquired a certificate in TESOL and TEFL.
